Why we built Vorticel
General-purpose AI chat tools are useful, but they were never designed for privileged legal work: they don't know your firm's documents, they can't tell you where an answer came from, and using them means sending client material outside your firm's control. Vorticel exists to close that gap — a tool that answers only from documents your firm has uploaded, cites the exact page an answer came from, and treats confidentiality as the default, not an add-on.
How Vorticel is built
Vorticel is built by a small, product-focused team that treats tenant isolation, encryption, and citation accuracy as the product itself, not features layered on afterward. Every release goes through isolation and citation-accuracy testing before it ships — because for a legal research tool, "usually correct" isn't good enough.
